Anup's journey began in China, where he started his career in a refractory company, gaining valuable insights into the intricacies of the Chinese market and international business dynamics. He also had the privilege of representing diplomatic and trade missions, like the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), where he played a key role in promoting trade for these countries. Currently, Anup serves as a Senior Trade Adviser for the Department for Business and Trade, British Deputy High Commission, Kolkata, India. Anup's responsibilities include facilitating trade between the UK and India across multiple sectors, including agriculture and allied, agritech, food & drinks, responsible mining & critical minerals, maritime, engineering, and manufacturing. In this capacity, he plays a significant role in trade development, particularly focusing on the East and Northeast regions of India, spanning 13 states as well as leading agriculture and allied initiatives in the southern states of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
